I’ve been using Agerigna keyboard for about 7 years now and thought this time my friends are always amazed by how fast I can type Amharic on my phone. But it was not until Agerigna went offline for some time in March (?) 2025 and I had to explore other keyboards that I realized how well set up and intuitive this keyboard really is. In my experience, Agerigna is the easiest and quickest way to type Amharic mainly owing to the way the 6 variations of each main (ግዕዝ) letter appear at the top for easy access at a click of the letter. I’m surprised many others have not imitated this simple and effective model. In any case, I’m super glad Agerigna is back now; hope it stays for good, and kudos to whoever produced it! በርቱ :)

I do use this app daily more than I do other apps in my mobile phone and I like it. However; as an Amharic user, I would like to use all the punctuation marks but this apps couldn’t include all of them. For example Amharic comma (ነጠላ ሰረዝ, ድርብ ሰረዝ, ቃላ አጋኖ- exclamation marks) and others. The developers of this application need to include these missing functionalities and update it for users. Updated on 11/07/2024 ==================== I gave 5 stars to this application four or five years ago and I recommend its developers include some missing Amharic punctuation marks. They haven’t improved anything yet. Now I downgraded the stars to 2. Hopefully, will make it back 5 if they fix the problem sooner than later. With Best Wishes!

When I try to change from lower case to upper case in mix configuration it is not working. I want to write “ሐ” but I can’t change the caps lock please fix this. Apart from this issue I like the keyboard

iOS 17.1.2 not working

The keyboard for iOS doesn’t have the option to write ‘law, mua, swa, etc’ please fix it

It’s such a good app… except there are no Ge’ez numbers in the keyboard. If you could add those it would be perfect. Thank you!

Hi, I’m a big fan of your app and use it everyday to text my family. However, I’m realizing that your’e missing a letter. The letter -hwa- that is apart of the ኀ row and commonly used in the word behwala (later).

It was good until recently , but after the update it has missed the last alphabets For example I can’t write Kuwa, Ruwa,…I can’t write language (kuwawankuwa) in Amharic because the 8th alphabet is missed in all letters.

The alphabet is not complete. Why is it missing and how come there is no update???? RUA KUA FUA TUA and all the other 8th letter are missing

I have try many Amharic keyboards and this one is the most practically intuitive design and arrangement. The only things it’s missing is punctuations and Amharic numbers. I hope you add these two Functions & make it perfect! Great work.

I was wondring why this app never updated in four years. i keep looking if the app if it has new version but recently it says update then i look the version detail history it is the same version why it says update if the update version is old? it says update then again this app is updated by apple to signin certeficate 🙁 I will try to update if that works and fix the problem.

It does not have all the alphabets. Easy to use

It’s great but, first off the letters need to be in order, the only reason I downloaded this app, is bc I need it for my Amharic beginner homework (bc I wasn’t born in Ethiopia, and I don’t know how to speak Amharic) and u could’ve just putt them in order so people can see it more clearly, and it will make it easier for the rest of us, and when I try to press the globe icon to change my language back, it doesn’t work, and I have to do it manually , since I know a crap ton of languages, it takes for ever to get back to English or Japanese or Arabic or whichever language Ik, it’s a great app, but needs work

It’s very poor in ሏሟ ሯ ... I don’t even know where did they get it from ? It’s laziness, negligence and ignorance.

this is the best Amharic keyboard app for ios. it's qwert, hageregna, mix feature are amazing but it really needs updates , like it's theme are not much attractive....

Great app. However it is missing some alphabet like the Amharic “m” and few other alphabets. Other than that it is the only one i use so far. Its good but it can get better. If the developer wants some help with collaboration please contact me.

Its overall excellent but something words are not on the keyboard so would update?

This app is fantastic!! It has been updated to work both on IOS and android and allows me and my dad to communicate in the alphabets that he loves. He writes me long long letters in agerigna and now thanks to him and the agerigna keyboard i practice my Amharic very often. Great app and it’s free. Thank you!

The most useful app!! To the Eritrean and Ethiopia peoples, this is the fastest way u can reach out and communicate with friends and family, in our language, All at your fingertips.

The app has no 4points(arat netib), Which is a period in Geez writing. This issue must be fixed because it makes my writing incomplete.

I give it two stars because it’s easy to use but 3 stars less because it needs more improvement such as there is no letters “hua, lua, mua.....”

Some awkward (out of ordinary) fonts are not available. For some reason the actual ሀሁ fonts changed without to Latin with out my knowledge

Your app is a life saver when it comes to Amharic Keyboard but first it's not 64 bit so will not be supported on IOS 11 and second once I installed .... OMG! the phone freaking dies, I mean slowwwwww.... try opening Messages App and you will know what I mean.

I have tried a lot of a lot of similar applications but this one is far the best.

Would like to see the Ethiopic numerals added to this App. Otherwise it’s fairly easy to use.

Can’t type geez numbers, doesn’t have the full geez or amharic alphabets, but overally it’s okay!

It is missing those letters like zua; tua, bua etc. Because of the incomplete letters this app have , I am removing it now

That makes us different

I used to swear by this keyboard, it opened an entire world of the internet for me until I updated it. I used to be able to simply use the extra letters like “kwa” and “hwa” on the Agerigna style keyboard but now I can’t anymore. Please go back to the way the agerigna keyboard was before.

Unfortunately the app doesn’t do anything. It freezes my iPhone. I just got removed it.

I have a bit info that unexpectedly Samsung family contributed to this app financial on development time & we really appreciate the Ethiopian kid who develop this app keep up the good job one thing I like to suggest on update side that different key’s have different way operate I just can’t understand how is that happen & how come it’s not updated ? If I can get respond on this will be great, so far this is # 1 leading keyboard Amharic THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
